This month’s Sound Bath is about revealing one’s hidden potential. When the shadows are long and the temperatures are cool it’s the best time to enter your own shadow side - the subconscious mind through introspection into that which seems “hidden”. In the South American tradition this is called Jaguar medicine demanding courage and a decision to look deeply within to liberate oneself from unconscious patterns and conditioning.  Because sound gets us out of our thinking mind and into deeper, underlying states of our consciousness it is a most effective tool to access this powerful side within us.

The sound creations will aid you letting go of what doesn’t serve any longer as well as letting you recognize what is not yours to carry! Iris will feature her Kyanite Crystal-Tones singing bowl, Crystal Sound Pyramid, antique set of Manipuri singing bowls, seedpod chimes, rattles and more within the sonic mix for your wellbeing.

A Workhouse “Sound Bath” is where people come together for a pleasant and relaxing experience created through sound by a sound healing practitioner who is playing live a variety of specific instruments. After a brief introduction to sound in the beginning, the listeners will be "immersed" in soft sound vibrations lying on a mat or sitting on a chair. Guided by the sound healing practitioner, the listeners will have time to return from their journey and will have the opportunity to share their experience, if desired, at the end of the Sound Bath.

Each Sound Bath is uniquely created with a selection of instruments that could include Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, drums, bells, and harps as well as crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, or others. Come and experience the benefits of this sound immersion to deeply relax, lift, and rejuvenate your whole being on a Sunday afternoon!

Benefits of a SOUND BATH can include:

  • Calming of the nervous system

  • Inducing better sleep

  • Uplifting of mood

  • Increased ability to focus

  • Restoration and strengthening

  • An overall greater sense of well-being

Bring a mat, blanket, and pillow for your comfort; chairs are provided.

The Sound Baths are primarily designed for adults, and it is not recommended for children to attend. However, exceptions may be made for children aged 12 or older who can remain quiet for 60 minutes. To ensure the comfort of other attendees, parents may be requested to leave with their children in case of any disruptions.

Join the Sound Bath at Art of Movement, every 3rd Sunday.
