Monthly Featured Artists
Background image: Invitation to the Dance by Lynn Goldstein
The Workhouse Arts Center has more than 60 resident visual artists who occupy studios on campus, as well as a collective group of off-site artists who display their work in the Arches Gallery. Every month, in each building, the work of individual artists or a group of artists is featured in a special exhibition that runs for the entire month. During our Second Saturday art walks our featured artists (and many other studio artists!) are on campus to talk about their work and processes. And, if you love what you see, you can take it with you, as most art on campus is available for purchase!

W-6: “Works in Wood” by Cameron Porter
In Cameron Porter’s opinion, Wood is the most versatile and innately beautiful medium. It is flexible, yet strong. It can be easily carved, bent, cut, and shaped with imagination as the only limit.
W-7: "Curls and Swirls" by David Barnes
Bringing the brilliance, color, and dimension of art glass together with the art of design forms an exciting visual experience full of visions, impressions, and memories. Exhibited works explore the interaction of movement, structure, and color.

Michele Montalbano paints invented landscapes that focus on everyday escapism. A California native, Michele grew up outdoors, inherently drawn to nature. Her recent body of work depicts a world that honors nature’s beauty and provides hope and a momentary escape from a chaotic, ever-changing world—for the artist and the viewer.
W-9: “Carol’s Creations” by Carol Mather- Double Month Feature
Carol Mather’s work is a mixture of both abstract and natural. Carol is still on a journey of exploring colors and their variety of applications.
